• How do I add a new account to 2FA App?

You can add accounts in two ways:
1. QR Code: Tap the "+" button and scan the QR code provided by the service
2. Manual Entry: Enter the secret key manually if QR scanning isn't available

• Why aren't my codes working?

Most authentication issues are due to time synchronization. Ensure your device's time is set correctly and automatically synchronized. TOTP codes are time-sensitive and require accurate system time.

• How do I backup my accounts?

Premium users can enable iCloud sync in Settings. This automatically backs up your accounts securely to your iCloud account. You can also export individual accounts by tapping and holding on an account entry.

• What happens if I lose my device?

If you have iCloud sync enabled, your accounts will be restored when you install 2FA App on your new device. Otherwise, you'll need to reconfigure your accounts using backup codes or by contacting each service's support.

• How do I set up widgets?

Long-press on your home screen, tap the "+" button, search for "2FA App", and select your preferred widget size. You can configure which accounts appear in the widget settings.

• What's included in the Premium subscription?

Premium includes unlimited accounts, iCloud sync, password-protected folders, custom themes, advanced widgets, and priority support. Free users can store up to 3 accounts.

• How do I restore my purchases?

Go to Settings → Upgrade to Premium → Restore Purchases. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.

• Is my data secure?

Absolutely. We use a "zero knowledge" approach - we literally cannot see your data because we never collect it. Everything is encrypted on your device with AES-256 encryption. Unlike other apps that send your data to their servers "for backup," your secrets never leave your control. Even if we wanted to spy on you, we can't because we have no infrastructure to do so.

Common Issues

• App crashes on launch

Try force-closing the app and restarting your device. If the problem persists, please contact support with your device model and iOS version.

• iCloud sync not working

Ensure iCloud is enabled in Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → AuthGuard App. Also check that you have sufficient iCloud storage available.

• Widgets not updating

Remove and re-add the widget. If issues persist, restart your device. Widget refresh depends on iOS system policies and usage patterns.
